Fighting with Blog Spam

Both Google and MSN announced today at their blog to support a new tag <rel="nofollow"> on individual <a>link to prevent these annoying blog spam. Any link with this tag will indicate to a crawler it is not necessarily approved by this page and shouldn’t be followed nor contribute weight for ranking.

Google also suggested that the web software community should quickly adopte this attribute.  I know some versions of .Text has been improved by adding moderation feature or picture identify technology to prevent the blog spam coming.  Top of that, this new feature from search engine giant would make these spams less than useless to the reader as they will not be indexed on the search engine database. I wish if some .Text fan would do anything on it.
