The new phish report network

Microsft, eBay, PayPal, and Visa have teamed with WholeSecurity to launch the Phish Report Network. The network will serve as a worldwide anti-phishing aggregation service.

The network will allow companies that have become victim's of phishing attacks to report fraudulent Web sites to the network's centralized database. Companies can also join the network to receive aggregate reports of fraudulent sites which can then be used as data for content management systems (such as Web and email filtering software) that could block access to the fraudulent sites, thereby preventing users from becoming victims of fraud.

But such aggregate data won't come cheap. A spokesperson for the Phish Report Network told Windows IT Pro Magazine that participation in the network costs $15,000 USD per year.
