Why does your Windows Explorer Hang?

Back to a while ago, I blogged Disable Recent Documents History in which I showed how to avoid some hanging cases happened in my laptop which I used daily at office and at home.? I discovered that one of the reasons causing this hanging case is that some network path both in?office network?and home network?were stored in my recent documents history folder, which casued the Windows Explorer was looking for my home network while I was at office, and was looking for my office network while I was at home.? And here, Mark Russinovich?digged more and revealed more detail information at The Case of the Intermittent (and Annoying) Explorer Hangs.

This post doesn't only explain how he debugged this issue in detail, but also shows a good example how to use these three wonderful tools, Process Explorer, Filemon and Regmon, which are all made by www.sysinternals.com.
