Back in a while ago, I changed my title in this blog to take off my name but in the subtitle still for some reason I don't remember. However, it turned out that it removed my name off the Google search too. Before I changed my title, my name was on the first page when I did a search in “Kent Chen” but not even in page 10 after I did. So I changed back to put my name back on to the title again. Guess what? My name is showing up on the first page again when I do a search in the same term.
I guess Google put more weight on the words in the main title than in the other parts in the page. So I would suggest if you want your name shown up in the first or first couple of page in Google, you better put your name in your main title rather than any other places.
