Gmail now supports IMAP

Do you still use POP3 as your desktop email solution?  I don't and I have a lot of reasons why I hate to use it.  The alternative replacement would be IMAP that completely waived out these reasons.  However, not all email providers support IMAP, even though all of them support POP3.

Google just recently announced that their popular Gmail now supports IMAP.  That's so sweet.  Sync your inbox across devices instantly and automatically. Whether you read or write your email on your phone or on your desktop, changes you make to Gmail will be seen from anywhere you access your inbox.  But how about my customized labeling system? Will it be lost when using IMAP?  Not al all.  Your own labels appear as the folders in your email program.  Just exactly what you want.

Am I going to use it?  Hmm...not likely.  I am so addicted with web-based email program.  Many of Google's features keep me stay tuned with my browser all time as long as I am online.
