How many Vista shipped in 2007

Based on Gate's statement at this weeks' Consumer Electronics Show, Windows Vista was aboard 39% of the PC's that shipped in 2007, more than 100 million copies since the OS launched last January.  No bad figure at all, a little surprised me, to be honest.  However, the real question is how many these Vista computers are actually running Vista.

I started buying Vista pre-loaded computers a few months back but none of them are running Vista at the moment, they are all running XP instead.  But they should be all counted as Vista sale.  There are reasons and benefits why I am doing this, which I believe there are many others doing the same way as well.  XP still dominates.

Note that any computers running Vista Business or Ultimate are eligible to run XP Pro without extra cost.  You just need to find the right media to do so.  However, not every vendors in the market offer the downgrade media for free.  I don't know why but I believer whoever doing so definitely offers the better service and makes a good decision in the market.  At least, I have switched from Acer to HP recently because simply HP offers this service without any cost.  By the way, HP's support service is awesome.
